Are humes & burg good mutes?

The red and white stoned lined kind? Yes my friend. Those are good mutes. They are possibly the most used mute in the world. You will probably move on to other more expensive mutes over the years but the humes and burg are the workhorse of mutes. I have about 30 different kinds of mutes and still pull out the old red and white from time to time when I want that sound.
